think big

Back in July 2020, specifically – 18th July 2020, I decided to do an experiment. I opened an account with Zerodha and payed in a small paltry sum of 45k INR. The intention was to see if lack of capital is the real reason for not making money from the market? Here are the results.

Account value on 18-July-2020

This is when I decided to start the experiment. I used same strategies as I use for my main

[Follow-up] Monster Stock Correlation: Bajaj Finance

Posted in MonsterStock Analysis
Comments Post a Comment

Bajaj Finance has been most loved & most hated stock on Indian bourses. Those who invested in May 2020 love the stock, and those who anticipated it to go into 3-dgitis or even 2, hate it the most. I wrote a post back on 18th June 2020 and the post was to present my study of Bajaj and its characteristics as a Monster Stock. It was also an attempt to show that Bajaj has made the bottom and

I have been wanting to write about this for last 3 months but I refrained because I wanted to test more in real-time. I wanted more data to really trust that method indeed works in all market situations. And I believe that I have enough data now to write about this method.

99% Option buyers lose money

This absolutely true. 99% option buyers trade on hope and not on setup. There are fraudsters providing expiry special, Hero or

Fooled by Information

There is a reason I picked title of today’s post – Fooled by Information. I am sure most of you must be part of at least 3-5 WhatsApp groups dedicated to markets/trading. People often talk too much on topic(s) that are useless and yield nothing but noise. US election predictions, COVID-19 data, Economy contraction data, GDP data, PMI data, US Employment data, Trump’s ratings, Biden’s lead data, and the list goes on. People try to connect everything with

The value of ‘not’ knowing everything

The ease of internet access & boom of social media has not only changed the way we live, but also the way we think. The unending desire to be active on Twitter / WhatsApp and getting involved in every conversation has ‘kind of’ become a matter of showing off the expertise.

Until last month, I used to be part of at least a 100 stock market groups. Some were investment only groups, while some where pure technical. Some

GMM Pfaudler Analysis

GMM Pfaudler is beloved stocks for many. The stock has given outstanding returns over last 2-3 years. The recent rally made me look into its long-term charts and correlate with volume, delivery %, and 50/200 MAs to see if GMM Pfaudler exhibited any monster stock characteristic early on that could have helped investors own the stock.

This post, in no manner, intended to put stock in negative or positive bias. It is pure analysis of its past 14

I want to be full-time trader one day” – this is one of the most common goals you hear people say these days.

People have this rosy, happy, and Utopian picture painted of their goal of having a trading room with a beautiful view and multiple screens and show off on social media. I wonder does anyone ever see the other side?

While everyone desires to be a full-time trader, the source of this goal is

Noise – Indicators & Patterns

Noise in technical analysis

When you are new to Technical Analysis there are 3 things you learn first – Candles, Indicators, and Patterns. But what if I told you all these 3 are full of noise?

What is a noise?

Noise is anything that masks the meaningful information or data. In technical analysis context, noise is everything that keeps you away from taking concrete decisions.

How often would you notice, talk, or mention following:

  • There is a gap here & price must

Alpha Trade Journal 28 August 2019

Welcome to Alpha Trade Journal.

Today was not a very good day. Not just because it was a loss making day, but because I did not follow some of my own trading rules.

In sum, today was a NET LOSS day.

Here are today’s trades:

Bought PGHL at 4402, Sold in loss at 4340

My trade setup was clearly telling me to go long ONLY above 4410 on 15M timeframe. Price never sustained above 4410 although it made

Alpha Trade Journal 27 Aug 2019

Today was yet again amazingly profitable day. Although Nifty did not move as much as it did yesterday, a lot of stocks jumped nearly 5-7%.

Here are today’s trades

Axis Bank shorted at 693.55 and covered near 682

It was very evident the way Axis bank was trading that 698-700 will not be crossed today and it was a definite short candidate. I shorted at 693.55 and SL was only 698, which was never hit.

DMART bought at

Past entire week I couldn’t trade significantly. Although I was taking some trades in Nifty, most of the times SLs were hit, resulting in net loss.

I did not get time to write a post about last week’s trades and hence I am summing it up here that most part of last week was dull & 90% of the times SLs were hit.

However, today, today it was an amazing day.

Here are today’s trades:

Bought Bajaj Finance

Financial Planning ?

Well, I hope everybody must have heard this phrase that sounds complex, but hold on… It isn’t any Rocket science that we cannot understand. Let’s break it down and make it simple for you.
